So what?
Yeah, it’s a big deal. And obviously no team wants to get swept, but just a week ago, the Cubs swept the Sox at Wrigley. I may be biased (maybe?) but Cubs fans were excited about it, but I didn’t see the across the board outcry of Cubs fans that “Sox suck!” I can’t even believe that I’m defending Cubs fans. As a rule, Cubs fans (save myself of course) are a bunch of dopes. Now I do have to say that Sox fans are typically knowledgeable, but also generally classless (I guess most Cubs fans are too, but I digress).
It’s 3 games. The Cubs are still 16 games over .500 and in first place and the Sox are 11 games over .500 and in first place. They split the season series, and both look like likely playoff teams. If they meet again and either team sweeps, there’s your story. Until then, let’s relax a bit?

Dude…you should’ve warned me about Sox fans. They’re like the like least favorite child fighting/whining for attention…and their coach is the worst. Man, they are one obnoxious (all be it, knowledgeable) breed.
I agree…if Dempster can keep his play up and we get our bats healthy (including big Z) this thing will get rolling again. Although I do hate having the Brewers and Cards on their heels.
white sox are so much better…cubs funs u know I know they gonna choke!!!! Just like they alwayS do
Alex, I couldn’t have said it better. I wouldn’t think of speaking for all “cubs funs” but I for one know that you know they gonna choke.
I won’t mention that they have the best record in the National League (by far) and the strongest bullpen in baseball. If I were a Sox fan right now, I’d be more worried about the Minnesota Twins than the Cubs, and certainly cubs funs.
100 Years is long enough to wait, this is the Cubs year!
