So Who is Gonna Win Super Bowl XLI?

Chicago skyline for the Bears

I have to go with the Bears right? Yes. I definitely do. They are definitely capable of winning this game. And I’ll tell you why.

  • The Bears will create turnovers - This is what the Colts are afraid of, the Bears picking off Peyton Manning, or stripping the ball from them.
  • The Bears will win the battle of special teams - Devin Hester and Robbie Gould trump even the experience of Adam Vinatieri.
  • The Bears are not afraid of the Colts - Even though all of the prognosticators are picking the Colts to win Super Bowl XLI, the Bears have been nothing but confident. They have a swagger. I’m sure the Colts are confident as well, but seeing the Bears come out they way they did against the Saints tells me that they know they’re going to win.

I’m not that confident. I think that the Bears will win, I think it’ll be close. Probably come down to a field goal to win it. In the end, the Bears hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy.

    Kendall,

    You make some compelling arguments for a Bears victory. My gut feeling, though, is now that Manning has put New England behind him, Chicago will have a difficult time stopping the passing game. The Bears’ defense has been great at take-aways and scoring points on their own; but they’ve had some games where they were unable to prevent opponents from running up big scores, even in victory. It may come down to how well Grossman executes tonight. I think he is the only weak link on the team, and honestly, he’s done a stellar job of stepping up and getting it done when needed. On paper, especially looking at last years numbers, there is no way one could have expected the kind of year he’s had. Good for him. I think your line on the points looks good, if we’re lucky, we’ll see 14 points more on both sides.

    For me, it’s sentimental for Indy, as I really like the level of skill and commitment Manning has brought to the game.

    Freezing in Milwaukee, and glad to have Favre back. Cheers,

    CAUSE THEY’VE GOT THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE NFL!
    REX GROSSMAN IS THE BETTER QUARTERBACK!
    ALSO HE’S HOTTER!
    THE BEARS WILL WIN 55 TO 22!
