Let the controversy begin. Michigan gets snubbed by the BCS, they’ll play in the Rose Bowl against the USC Trojans. Florida will play Ohio State in the BCS National Championship Game. This is a rematch of the 2004 Rose Bowl in which USC was victorious. This game is a disappointment for each team. Both teams had national championship hopes. USC’s hopes were dashed when they lost against rival UCLA on Saturday, and Michigan was sidetracked by the top ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
Obviously the pollsters did not want to see Michigan play Ohio State again. How is it that Michigan gets leap-frogged 2 weeks in a row by teams that were behind them? First by USC, and now by Florida. Doesn’t make sense to me. A team whose only loss is to the consensus number one team in the country by 3 points. I’ll run down the bowl games at a later date, but let me say right now that Ohio State and Michigan will both win their bowl games. It’s a shame that we won’t see the best 2 teams in college football play for the National Championship.
