Chicks dig the long ball

There was an article in the Chicago Tribune Magazine, dicussing Greg Maddux’s career. It was interesting to hear, in his words, about his successes, and his failures. There was also a section that had interviews with former managers, teammates, and opposing players that provided a glimpse into what it is like to face Greg Maddux. All of this Maddux talk brought back to my mind the great ad campaign from Nike that featured Maddux and Tom Glavine. It’s one of my favorites campaigns ever. Enjoy.

    Just last week someone forwarded this Ad on to me. I remember this Ad when it came out, but I forgot how DAMN funny it is.

    Actually Zambrano looked incredbile the other night. Get Wood and Prior healthy and that potential 1-2-3 punch is so tantilating.

    Hey Steve. Thanks man. Glad you like the site. Yeah the Cubs are rough to watch this year. Looks like Woody will be on the shelf for a bit too. Hopefully Prior will come out and be a viable pitcher again. I think when the trade deadline comes though the Cubs will be sellors. Oh well, there’s always next year, right?
