What is Vigilante Sports?
Well, I’ll give you what my thoughts are on what I’d like it to be.
I’d like Vigilante Sports to be a place for people who love sports. Not necessarily to talk about the standings or nitty-gritty strategy questions (although I hope it’s that as well). But, more to be a place to debate the finer things of sports.
- Who has the best logo in all of sports?
- Are the 85 Bears really the best defense ever?
- Does The Ohio State University have any redeeming qualities?
These are the types of questions I want your answers to. The plan is to post questions and have the debate rage on in the comments of the post. If you have any suggestions for questions, or topics please let me know in a comment to this post.
Your opinions are you commodity.

It is impossible to compare an defense from 1985 to the defenses of today. The truth is, there is more passing, motion, formations, ect. right? Also, it does seem that football has traditionally been a defensive game…i.e. “offense wins games, defense wins championships.”, so perhaps now offense has finally caught up with the learning curve, making defense that much more difficult than it was 20 years ago. Hmmmmm.
Another question…was the USC/Texas game the greatest college game ever? I think not, only look back a few years to Ohio State/Miami, heavy underdogs Ohio State won in double overtime ending a 34 game Miami win streak, much more intense then USC/Texas. However, what do people think about Youngs performace….best single performance ever by a college player. I think so…200 rushing, 275 passing, and in the championship game, down by 12….wow.

i must first of all say that i cant understand why anyone would want to actually attend the University of Southern California. It’s in Compton for goodness sake i don’t think enough people realize where that is. it’s one of the worst neighborhoods in all of L.A. and obviously the TV crews and the football players and everyone well i doubt they spend a lot of time on the actual campus. USC may have the football team but UCLA has the academics and the looks.
on that note i didn’t actually watch the USC/UT game…i know…i know…but that doesn’t mean i dont know what i’m talking about
now onto the bears defense…its amazing BUT i dont think anyone can touch the steelers “steel curtain” of the 70’s…joe green? mel blount? jack lambert? this team had 3 defensive players of the year, 4 hall of famers and 4 SUPER BOWL TITLES…you really cant touch that…this years bears havent even won one super bowl and nobody knows how many bears defenders will be hall of famers. there isnt even a defensive player of the year on the bears…actually if we are measuring by super bowl titles these bears havent even won a playoff game, so the 1985 bears top them as well.
the best logo in all of sports..hmm lets pay respect to the old school ill go with Chelsea FC straight out of London..and honestly the EPL is probably the best league in the world…any sport
oh and no “the” ohio state university is a miserable failure at any endeavor…and apparently maurice clarett got arrested for armed robbery

brian urlacher just won defensive player of the year…if the bears have two more of those and 4 super bowl titles over the next 10 years then they can truly be called the best defense ever
