What’s Your Favorite Championship

I have to say. I have never liked Reggie Miller. And today on the Dan Patrick radio show, he went ahead and gave me more reason to not like him.
He, Dan Patrick and Keith Olberman were discussing the Antonio Davis into the stands episode that happened in Chicago the other night. And in the process of discussing fan behavior and players interaction with them, he called fans “drunk idiots”. Now I know that it was probably the heat of the moment (BARF!), but he’s got to realize that without those “drunk idiots” he wouldn’t have had a job for 18 years getting paid an inordinate amount of money (career $99,051,748 via Basketball-Reference.com). Ungrateful bastard.
And oh yeah, Reggie, your sister is still a better player than you.
I suppose a better question is, “Does anyone care?”. I can’t think of a player in any sport who was absolutely the best player in his sport, and so boring, annoying, and self-involved. Now, of course, a large portion of professional athletes are annoying and certainly self-involved, but ARod is so much of a self-promoting windsock, I’d rather he didn’t play in the WBC. Which seems to be a made for TV event, but apparently the players are excited to be able to represent their countries. I’ll tell you one thing… I don’t want to see any Cubs player logging too many innings. They have enough trouble staying healthy in the regular season.
Back to Alex Rodriguez. Is he Dominican? or is he American? or does it depend on how well his PR people can spin it one way or the other? or does it depend on how the rosters shake out and who has a better chance to win? ARod was a sellout in Seattle, Texas, New York, and now he’s whoring himself out to the whole world. The dude makes me sick. Get a clue.
It’s time to make yourself heard, again. Who are you picking for this weekend’s games?
AFC
Pittsburgh
at Denver -3
NFC
Carolina
at Seattle -3.5
What an interesting weekend of football. Some things that stuck out to me.
1. Muhsin Muhammad makes a lot of money for a guy who drops a lot of balls, in a lot of games.
2. I’m a huge Peyton Manning fan. But when is it time to be resigned to the fact that he just can’t win the big game? It certainly wasn’t all his fault… but c’mon.
3. Not sure which offense is worse the Bears or the Redskins… but I guess it doesn’t matter at this point.
4. 5 turnover = 24 points. The “always steady” Patriots fell apart. It’s about time.
5. Mike Vanderjagt. Idiot Kicker.
6. I think Steve Smith just scored another uncontested touchdown.
What stuck out to you?

Taking a page out of Mike and Mike’s radio show this morning. Rank the quarterbacks remaning in the playoffs (in order of best to worst). Criteria: Who would you want leading your team?
In the wake of the Marcus Vick McDonalds incident, the folks over at DeadSpin have posted a hilarious Poll about who you’d least likely to run into at McDondals. Though i’d share.
Was the USC/Texas game the greatest college football game of all time? If not, what game compares. The Ohio State/Miami national title game seems to take the cake with 2 overtimes and a goal line stand to win the game.
Was Youngs performance the single greatest performance of all time? I think so…200 yards rushing, 275 passing, 3TD’s (the last two coming in the fourth quarter to win). What would come close in numbers and significance?
The debate is officially open….
Who was the most dominant rookie (offense or defense) of All-Time?
